Aisling Moran formally submits her nomination papers to contest the General Election in Laois with the Returning Officer Mr Rory Hanniffy

On Friday 15th of November 2024, Cllr Aisling Moran (Independent) formally submitted her nomination papers with the Returning Officer, Mr Rory Hanniffy at the Courthouse in Portlaoise.

 

She was accompanied by members of her campaign team including fellow Independent councillors Ben Brennan and Tommy Mulligan who along with Cllr James Kelly are supporting her campaign.

 

Afterwards she called into the businesses on the Main Street in Portlaoise to discuss with them the challenges and issues facing small business and the retail sector.

 

The general election in Laois will take place across 114 polling stations in the county on Friday November 29th with the count being held in Scoil Chríost Rí on the Borris Road in Portlaoise the following day.
